Breakfast. Our day begins with a tour of Girona, an ancient Jewish town buried underground for hundreds of years. Then we drive to Figueres to visit the Salvador Dali Theatre-Museum. Accommodations in Carcassonne at the Hotel Du Soleil Terminus.

Breakfast. This morning we tour Carcassonne, one of France's best preserved medieval walled cities. We continue to Pont du Gard to see the 2000 year old Roman Aquaduct. Our day concludes in Avignon. Accommodations for three nights in Avignon at the Bristol Hotel.

Breakfast. Morning tour of Avignon, including the Palace of Popes and the Bridge of "Sur le Pont" fame. In the afternoon, we visit Aix-en-Provence, the old capital city of Provence, immortalized by its celebrated son, Paul Cezanne.

Breakfast. Today we visit Nimes and Arles. In Nimes we will see Maison Carre one of the best preserved Roman temples in Europe and the Fontaine Gardens. Arles was the scene of many paintings by Van Gogh and Gauguin.

Breakfast. We depart for Cavaillon to visit the historic eighteenth century synagogue, then tour the Perfumerie Fragonard in Grasse. We continue to St. Paul de Vence where we will visit Fondation Maeght. On a hill in pine-studded woods, it is like a Shangri-la. Our day ends in Nice. Accommodations for three nights in Nice at the Hotel B4 Nice Park.

Breakfast. We stop in Eze, one of the most beautiful villages on the Riviera, on our way to touring Monte Carlo, Monaco, the internationally famous principality on the Mediterranean.
