Arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica. Our group members will arrive at San Jose's Juan Santamaria International Airport throughout the day. Upon clearing immigration and customs, a representative will escort you to the Corobici Hotel Shuttle, which wll trasfer you to our hotel, the Crowne Plaza Corobici. This evening there will be an orientation/welcome dinner held at our hotel.
If you would like to arrive in Costa Rica before Saturday, April 17, we will be happy to make reservations for you. |

Sunday
April 18, 2010 |
Breakfast. This morning we will visit Congregation Sharai Zion, one of the most beautiful synagogues in Latin America. A tour of the facilities will be given by a member of the community. Upon conclusion of tour, we will travel west towards the Pacific shores. Arriving in Punta Leona, we will check into the Punta Leona Hotel & Club. The balance of the day is at leisure; enjoy the hotel facilities, the lush tropical rain forest and the pristine beach. |

Monday
April 19, 2010 |
Breakfast. We will visit the renowned Manuel Antonio National Park, where we will have a guided tour through one of the jewels of the Costa Rica National Park System. Expect to see species of monkeys, sloths, iguanas, coatimundis and a wide range of birds and reptiles. In the late afternoon, we will will return to Punta Leona. |

Breakfast.Day at leisure. Enjoy the hotel, the beach, the lush tropical rain forest or embark on an optional tour (cost not included). Here you can find a wide variety of adventure activities and tours such as sea kayaking, canopy tours, nature hikes and horseback riding. |

Wednesday
April 21, 2010 |
Breakfast. Today we will drive along the Central Pacific shores towards Orotina, then continue north towards the flatlands of San Carlos. Afternoon arrival in Arenal. We will check into the Hotel Arenal Manoa, then visit Arenal Volcano National Park. Our tour starts with a hike on the Toucan Trail, located on the western side of the volcano – the active side. This trail traverses the rain forest and crosses over a large lava flow from 1992. It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife and magnificent lava rock formations. Once on top of the lava flow, we will have a beautiful view of Lake Arenal. The hike ends at a viewing area where, weather permitting, we will be able to see red hot lava rolling down the side of the volcano. |

April 22, 2010 |
Breakfast. Enjoy the excursion of your choice - (1) a “Floating Safari” tour through the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge or (2) "canyoning" (rappelling down waterfalls inside the rain forest) or (3) white water rafting. This evening we will go the Eco Termales. Here we will relax in the hot springs followed by dinner in their restaurant. |

Breakfast. Following some morning free time, we travel back to San Jose. The picturesque, winding road passes through San Carlos, San Ramón and then over the Central Valley mountains. Check in at the Crown Plaza Corobici. |
