July 26

Arrival in Calgary. Since tour members will be arriving at different times, there will not be a group transfer from the Calgary airport to our hotel. Taxi and shuttle services are available. The tour begins at the hotel. Meet you tour manager and fellow tour members at our orientation/welcome reception at our hotel at 9:30 P.M. Beverages and light refreshments will be served. Accommodations at the Ramada Inn Downtown.

If you want to arrive in Calgary prior to Saturday, July 26, please ask us about arranging hotel reservations for you.

Sunday,
July 27

Breakfast. Travel south along the Macleod Trail. Visit Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, designated a World Heritage Site. It is among the oldest, largest and best preserved of hundreds of buffalo jump sites across the western plains. We continue to scenic Waterton Lakes National Park where we will enjoy a spectacular view of the Upper Waterton Valley from the Prince of Wales Hotel National Historic Site. Then we will drive up the Red Rock Parkway to the canyon at Waterton. Accommodations at the Bayshore Inn.

Monday,
July 28

Breakfast. We travel to Glacier National Park. There we will board minibuses and travel across the Continental Divide taking the "Going-to-the-Sun Road". We cross 6,664 ft. high Logan Pass, then enter an unspoiled domain of alpine scenery, deep valleys, glacier peaks and cascading waterfalls. At West Glacier we reboard our private motorcoach and proceed to Kalispell, MT. Accommodations at the Four Seasons Motor Inn.

Tuesday,
July 29

Breakfast. We re-enter Canada through a picturesque region of British Columbia and visit Fort Steele, a town restored to appear as it was during the Old West days of the Kootenay Gold Rush. In the afternoon we pass through Kootenay National Park, through the steep red cliffs of Sinclair Canyon and on to the town of Banff. Accommodations at the Inns of Banff.

Wednesday,
July 30

Breakfast. We travel to Lake Louise, whose waters form a perfect mirror reflection of Mount Victoria and its glacier. Lunch at Lake Louise Station Restaurant included. At Peyto Lake we get an aerial view of a glacial lake. Next, is our orientation tour of Jasper National Park and then we proceed to the town of Jasper. Accommodations at Amethyst Lodge.

Thursday,
July 31

Breakfast. Travel the Icefields Parkway to Sunwapta Fall and Athabasca Falls. Next we stop at the 1,000 ft. thick Columbia Icefield for a thrilling ride aboard a "snowcoach". Travel to Canmore. Accommodations at Chateau Canmore.

Friday,
August 1

Breakfast. Depart for Banff National Park. Visit the Cave & Basin and Bow Falls. Next, we take a gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain for a magnificent view of the valley. In the late afternoon we return to Calgary. Two nights accommodations at the Ramada Inn Downtown.

Saturday,
August 2

Breakfast. Day at leisure. Farewell reception from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Beverages and light refreshments will be served.

August 3
Breakfast. Hotel check-out time is by 11:00 A.M. You can plan your departure accordingly.
