Arrival in Denver. If you need assistance arranging your transportation to Denver, we will be glad to help you. Since tour members will be arriving at different times, there will not be a group transfer from the Denver International Airport to our hotel. Taxi and shuttle services are available. The tour begins at our hotel. Meet your tour manager and fellow tour members at our orientation/welcome reception at the hotel at 9:15 P.M. Beverages and light refreshments will be served. Accommodations at the Comfort Inn Downtown.

Sunday, |
Breakfast. This morning we travel north to the exquisite mountain wilderness of Rocky Mountain National Park. Here we will have time to enjoy the alpine meadows, spruce forests, glacier lakes and 14,000-foot Longs Peak. Next, we travel to Vail. Time to explore Vail Village. In the evening, we arrive in Glenwood Springs. You may want to go for a swim at their legendary hot spring pool. Accommodations at Ramada Inn & Suites. |

Monday, |
Breakfast. We begin the day with sightseeing along panoramic Rim Rock Drive through Colorado National Monument. Admire Independence Monument and Balanced Rock, and venture along the Alcove Nature Trail near the Visitor Center. In the afternoon we arrive at Arches National Park, 73,000 acres of magnificent sandstone formations sculpted be eons of erosion. Time to explore, take photos and walk to the spectacular Windows Section. In the evening we will hike (non-strenuous) to the Delicate Arch viewpoint to watch a sunset you'll never forget! Two nights accommodations at Moab Valley Inn. |

Tuesday, |
Breakfast. Morning at leisure. You may want to go rafting, horseback riding, take a jeep tour or just explore the town of Moab. In the afternoon we will visit two of the most scenic parks in the west; Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. |

Wednesday, |
Breakfast. Today we see Mesa Verde National Park, one of America's most important archeological preserves and a World Heritage Site. After a scenic drive across the densely wooded "green table", we will stop for pictures at a lookout point above Cliff Palace, the largest of the parks 700 year old Anasazi cliff dwellings. We then continue along Ruins Road to to Spruce Tree House, the best preserved cluster of cliff houses. This evening we arrive in Durango. Accommodations at Holiday Inn Durango. |

Thursday, |
Breakfast. This morning we board the steam engine Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad for a scenic ride through the San Juan National Forest and the Rio de las Animas Canyon. Free time in Silverton in the afternoon. You may want to visit landmarks such as the Grand Imperial Hotel and the gold-domed courthouse. We then travel to Salida. Accommodations at Salida Super 8. |

Friday, |
Breakfast. Today we drive to Canon City to see the Royal Gorge Bridge, the world's highest suspension bridge. Rugged rock walls plunge moere than 1,000 feet down to the Arkansas River. This aftenoon we arrive in Denver. Two nights accommodations at the Comfort Inn Downtown. |

Breakfast. Driving south, we visit Colorado Springs. In the morning we tour the spectacular campus of the U.S. Air Force Academy. In the afternoon, we will see the unique red sandstone formations of the Garden of the Gods. Two nights accommodations at the Colorado Springs Clarion Hotel. |

Breakfast. Our day begins taking the Pike's Peak Cog Railway to the summit of this legendary mountain (elevation - app. 14,000 feet). This afternoon we have a tour of the U.S. Olympic Training Facility. |
