Arrival in Phoenix. If you need assistance arranging your transportation to Phoenix, we will be glad to help you. Since tour members will be arriving at different times, there will not be a group transfer from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to our hotel. Taxi and shuttle services are available. The tour begins at our hotel. Meet your tour manager and fellow tour members at our orientation/welcome reception at the hotel at 9:00 P.M. Beverages and light refreshments will be served. Accommodations at the Best Western Inn & Suites.

Breakfast. Tucson: Southeast this morning through the Sonoran Desert to Tucson, we will see The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden. This afternoon we will visit the Old Tucson Studios which features film, television and commercial shoots throughout the year and daily Wild West entertainment; daring cowboy gunfights, stunts, musical revues and comedies. Next, we travel to Tombstone. Accommodations at the Best Western Lookout Lodge. |

Monday, |
Breakfast. Tombstone: This morning we are in this Old West town made famous by such legendary figures as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. You may want to visit the O.K. Corral, enter the Bird Cage Theater, walk through Boot Hill Cemetery or just stroll the wooden sidewalks and see the historic buildings. We arrive in Springerville this evening. Accommodations at the Rode Inn & Suites. |

Breakfast. Petrified Forest/Painted Desert: Today we explore two Arizona wonders, the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert. The Petrified Forest has one of the world's largest and most colorful concentrations of petrified wood and displays of 225 million year old fossils. It is a surprising land of scenic wonders. The Painted Desert is an amazing expanse of badland hills, flat-topped mesas and buttes. The name Painted Desert refers to the spectacular rainbow of colorful sedimentary layers exposed in the austere landscape. Our day concludes in Chinle. Accommodations at the Best Western Canyon de Chelly Inn. |

Breakfast. Canyon de Chelly: We begin the day at wondrous Canyon de Chelly, with sheer walls rising up to 1000 feet and many scenic overlooks, many well-preserved Anasazi ruins and an insight into the present day life of the Navajo, who still inhabit and cultivate the valley floor. Late afternoon arrival at Grand Canyon National Park. Accommodations at Holiday Inn Express Grand Canyon. |

Breakfast. Grand Canyon/Sedona: This morning we visit the Grand Canyon. Experience its grandeur as we tour the South Rim; incomparable views of flame-colored walls plunging 4,800 feet into the Colorado River below. This afternoon we travel to picturesque Sedona, surrounded by towering red-rock monoliths. Sedona also marks the mouth of unbelievably beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, a breathtaking chasm. Our day concludes in Scottsdale. Accommodations for three nights at Holiday Inn Express Scottsdale. |

Breakfast. Phoenix/Scottsdale: Our panoramic tour of Phoenix and Scottsdale will take place today. Highlights will include Camelback Mountain, Arizona State University, Old Town Scottsdale a visit to the State Capitol and a cruise on the Dolly Steamboat. |
