Arrival in El Paso, Texas. If you need assistance arranging your transportation to El Paso, we will be glad to help you. Since tour members will be arriving at different times, there will not be a group transfer from the El Paso International Airport to our hotel. Complimentary airport shuttle provided by the hotel. The tour begins at the hotel. Meet your tour manager and fellow tour members at our orientation/welcome reception at the hotel at 9:30 P.M. Beverages and light refreshments will be served. Accommodations at the Holiday Inn Sunland Park.

If you plan to arrive in El Paso before Saturday, May 20, ask us about arranging hotel accommodations for you.

Breakfast. White Sands/ Alamogordo:This morning we enter New Mexico and see White Sands National Monument, one of the world's great natural wonders. Here, giant wave-like dunes of gypsum sand move across 275 square miles of desert and have created earth's largest gypsum dune field. In the afternoon we will tour the fascinating New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo. Then we travel across scenic southern New Mexico to Artesia. Accommodations at the Best Western Pecos Inn.

May 22

Breakfast. Carlsbad:Today begins at the wondrous Living Desert State Park and Garden, displaying more than 40 native animal species. From here we travel to Carlsbad Caverns, North America's most spectacular caves. They contain one of the world's largest underground chambers and countless formations. We will have a ranger guided tour through King's Palace, four highly decorated scenic chambers. There will also be time to explore the 14 acre Big Room. Group dinner in White's City. Our day concludes in Roswell. Accommodations at the Best Western Sally Port Inn and Suites.

Tuesday,
May 23

Breakfast. Roswell/Ft. Sumner: Our first stop is the International UFO Museum, featuring exhibits about the "Roswell Incident", the alleged flying saucer crash here in 1947. Opened in 1991, the museum earned 1996's "Top Tourist Destination of New Mexico". Next we will have a tour of the Historical Center for Southeast New Mexico, a home from the early 1900's. Traveling north to Ft. Sumner, we will visit the Billy the Kid Museum, displaying relics from the days of the Old Wild West. We arrive in Santa Fe this evening. Three nights accommodations at The Lodge at Santa Fe.

Breakfast. Santa Fe: This morning we have a walking tour through more than 400 years of Santa Fe history, art, and culture. It will give us an extraordinary introduction and provide us with a colorful portrayal of the "City Different". This afternoon you are free to explore this enchanting city.

May 25

Breakfast. Taos: We will stop at the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, the second highest expansion bridge in the country. It is an awesome experience to see the Rio Grande 650 feet below. Continuing to Taos, we will have a tour of Taos Pueblo. It is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark. The multi-storied adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years. The afternoon is yours to experience Taos. You may want to visit the Kit Carson Home, tour the Millicent Rogers Museum or shop at Taos Plaza.

Breakfast. Albuquerque: Today we tour Albuquerque. We will visit the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center which features the distinctive art, history and culture of New Mexico's 19 pueblos. We will also explore the Petroglyph National Monument, with an estimated 25,000 petroglyphs and rock art carvings by Native Americans and early Spanish settlers. Two nights accommodations at the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town.

Breakfast. Day at leisure. Farewell reception at 6:00 P.M. Beverages and light refreshments will be served.

May 28
Breakfast. Hotel check-out is by 11:00 A.M. You can plan your departure accordingly.
