Wednesday, July 23

If you are departing from the USA or Canada, you will take an overnight flight to Edinburgh, arriving on Thursday, July 24.  If you are departing from another country, please arrange to arrive in Edinburgh on Thursday, July 24.  (See FLIGHT ARRANGEMENTS.)

Thursday, July 24

Complimentary group transfer from the airport to our hotel. (Private transfers at cost.)  Group orientation at the hotel at 6:00 P.M., followed by a group dinner.  Accommodations for three nights at the Hotel George Intercontinental.

Friday, July 25

 

Breakfast. This morning we have a panoramic city tour of Edinburgh including the Royal Mile, Princes Street and a visit to Edinburgh Castle. This afternoon you are free to explore this wonderful city on your own.

Saturday, July 26

Breakfast. Day at leisure.

Sunday, July 27

Breakfast. We depart Edinburgh and drive over the Forth Bridge to the Fife Coast and St. Andrew's, home of the world famous golf course.  On through Dundee and Perth to Pitlochry.  We will visit Blair Castle and then pass the Culloden Moor, scene of the 1746 defeat of Bonnie Prince Charlie, en route to Inverness.  Accommodations at the Inverness Ramada Jarvis.

Monday, July 28

Breakfast. Spectacular scenery awaits us as we take a cruise on the legendary Loch Ness.  We continue to Ft. William, glimpsing the imposing peak of Ben Nevis, highest mountain in the British Isles.  Then on through Glencoe to Glasgow.  Accommodations at the Glasgow Ramada Jarvis.

Tuesday, July 29

Breakfast. We have a morning tour of Glasgow, including a visit to the Burrell Collection.  This afternoon we drive through the Southern Uplands past Moffat to Gretna Green.  From here we enter England, making a stop in Grasmere, visiting Dove Cottage, the home of William Wordsworth, and the museum in his honor.  We continue to see amazing scenery of rolling hills and lakes as we proceed to Liverpool.  Accommodations for two nights at the Hotel Thistle.

Wednesday, July 30

Breakfast. This morning we will enjoy a walking tour of the walled city of Chester, where will can admire the architecture of their famous "Rows".  We then travel to Llangollen, one of the most picturesque villages in Wales.  Next, we take the "Magical Mystery Tour", seeing the Beatles' Liverpool - Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, The Cavern Club and more.

Thursday, July 31

Breakfast. Today we cross England, traveling to London.  Along the way, we will visit Coventry, made famous by Lady Godiva. Accommodations for three nights at the Hilton Metropole.

Friday, August 1 

Breakfast. This morning we will have an orientation tour of London.  This will be followed by a walking tour of Jewish London, taking place in the East End.

Saturday, August 2

Breakfast. Day at leisure.  Late afternoon farewell get-together.

Sunday, August 3

Breakfast. Complimentary group transfer from the hotel to London- Heathrow International Airport.  (Private transfer at cost.)  Homebound flight.

Sunday, August 3


Breakfast. We depart London and travel to Bath.  Our sightseeing of the city will include a tour of the world famous Roman Baths. We continue to Torquay, a beautiful resort city on the English Channel.  Two nights accommodations at the Grand Hotel Torquay.

Monday, August 4

Breakfast.  During today's tour of Cornwall, we will visit Plymouth to see where the Pilgrim Fathers departed from in 1620 on their journey to America, before continuing to Penzance to view St. Michael's Mount.  Then we travel to the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole en route to Lands End, the most western point in England.  A highlight of the day will be time to relax and soak up the atmosphere at the famous artist colony and surfer's paradise of St Ives.

Tuesday, August 5

Breakfast.  Today we travel  through the evocative scenery of Dartmoor via Exeter to Glastonbury with its connections to King Arthur and Guinevere.  Then we visit legendary Stonehenge before returning to London. Accommodations in London at the Hotel Posthouse Kensington.

Wednesday, August 6

Breakfast. Complimentary group transfer from the hotel to London- Heathrow International Airport.  (Private transfer at cost.)  Homebound flight.
